150 Years Celebration of the College :The closing ceremony of the 150 years celebration of SXC will begin on 16 January 2010 with one or more VVIP(s) attending the programme. For that invitation cards will have to issued to the Members individually by name for security reasons. An initial list has already been sent to Fr. Rector for that. You are requested to kindly check up from the Allumni Office 2280-5566 whether your name has already been sent and if not, intimate the office to do so positively before 20 December 2009 at the latest. It may not be possible to pursue any such request at a later stage due to security reasons.
Appeal for Support :As several celebrations are coinciding like the 150 years celebration of the Calcutta Jesuit Province, 150 Years of the College and the Silver Jubilee of the SXCCAA, we have lot of financial commitments towards all these programmes. I, therefore, request all the members to kindly extend support to the association generously to keep these commitments. The cheques should be drawn in favour of "St. Xavier's College (Calcutta) Alumni Association” and you may be aware that any donation/contribution to the SXCCAA will qualify for IT relief u/s 80G of the IT Act.
